Recently, the Federal Trade Commission released new rules for Disclosure Compliance. These rules are set in place to ensure that readers or viewers of web media (blogs, Youtube videos, etc) know if the blogger/presenter is sponsored, endorsed or partnered with a different company. In blog terms, the readers need to know if the blogger is making money by sharing a link, product, or service. As Survival Techie has grown, so have costs associated with running and maintaining it. Listed below are several ways I offset those costs.

In compliance with the FTC guidelines, please assume the following about links and posts on this site:

Any/all of the links on survivaltechie.com are affiliate links. This means that if you click on the link and buy certain items, I will receive a small commission. The price is the same whether you go to the site and purchase directly or purchase through our affiliate link. Thank you for your support of this site, either way you select.

If I post an affiliate link to a product, it is something that the Survival Techie team has personally used, supports and/or would recommend without an affiliate link.

We are open to reviewing items. If those items are sent to us at no cost, we would review them the same as if we purchased at full price. All of the opinions regarding those items would be that of either one person on the team or the team as a collective unit. We will only endorse products that are in alignment with our ideals and that we believe would be of value to our readers.

If a post is sponsored by a company, we will disclose that within the post.

AMAZON DISCLOSURE: The Survival Techie team participates in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon properties including, but not limited to, amazon.com, or amazonwireless.com.
